Shafeeq Shamsid-Deen

Shafeeq Shamsid-Deen is a real estate development professional serving on the Greater Los Angeles Area Governance Board. Prior to his work in real estate development, he built an extensive career in politics and education.

Shafeeq attended Loyola Marymount University, where he earned dual degrees in History and Political Science. He also received the Developer's Award through the University of Southern California's Ross Minority Program in Real Estate.

As a Senior Program Manager, Shafeeq leads the development of technical assistance and access-to-capital programs. With more than 10 years of experience in education and over seven years in real estate development and project management, his work has spanned multiple states, tribal entities, and jurisdictions. He is a passionate advocate for small businesses, community development, and expanding equitable access to capital, particularly for underserved and minority-led businesses.
